Habitat Creation or Enhancement

Hydro Havens strive to incorporate Habitat rich features into ponds to provide environments that are favorable for fish, aquatic flora, fauna and any other life that may be attracted or introduced.

Examples of Habitat work have included, shores, planting shelves, reed beds, drystone walling, submerged reefs, underwater cobbling, ledges, bankside planting, islands, stony coves and caves.

Pond cleaning can sometimes be treated as a form of habitat enhancement because many ponds seem to get so dirty that the deterioration of water quality can actually limit aquatic life, or promote undesirable species associated with stagment polluted waters.
